Classic Scorpions

A picture of a woman butt it is, but a great compilation album from The Scorpions.
I'm on the fence on this LP, i did'nt know to get The Album Taken By Force, Virgin Killer or Fly to the Rainbow.
The Best Of Scorpions had it all. All great hits from the past Album on This Killer Compilation album.
Perfect!
There's no sappy power ballad in this one. This comes from the Seventies.
Scorpions are much more Technical and sound heavy.
The Guitar Maestro in the album are Michael Schenker and Uli John Roth.

After They left, Scorpions Led by Rudolph Shenker into 80s and somehow dominates
The Power Ballad Scene with Song like Radio-Friendly "Still Loving You" and heavier
Rock You Like a Hurricane.

Personally i think the 70s Scorpions is for me.
Sail Of Charon is something you can never see them play live these days but
thankfully they still play  Steamrock Fever.

Beggar's Banquet

Earlier today, postman came and delivered records i bought online.
One of it was 1981 Pressing of London Record Japan Press Banned cover of The Rolling Stones
Beggars Banquet.

I do dig Stones since teen, i've been to their Forty Licks tour in 2003. They do have some great songs or i say variety of great songs from different era. Beggars Banquet is from 1968. The same year the white album from Beatles got released. It's the era of Rock n Roll and music gone heavier. I have my personal 2 favorite track on this album.

Sympathy for the Devil
and
Salt of the Earth

The Opening Track and the last track.
Guns N Roses did a cover on Sympathy for the devil and did justice to it but it all comes down to
the original version. This song introduced me to Mick Jagger And Keith Richard
The Rolling Stones still tour to this days and actively making Albums.
The next Record i'm gonna find is the one that had Gimme Shelter from the album let it Bleed.
I might or may not buy it because i don't really like the look of the cover album.
It had a cake on it next to an LP but i know 2 songs that im diggin, Gimmer Shelter and You Can't Always get what you want.

Theres always Spotify if you want to listen to em.

The Rocker

The List of Rock Hall Of Fame is in for 2020

I hope Thin Lizzy gets the win but it's a tough one, the new generation knows nuts bout this underated Rock N' Roll Irish Band from Dublin. Please vote them in at ROCKHALL2020

I've learnt of this band in the late 90s and totally diggin em since. Not gonna rant on the history of the band, google em to know more. I've bought The The Very Best of Thin Lizzy, Bon Jovi's Version of "The Boys are back in town", introduced me to this album.

And Recently got myself two records,  "Thunder and Lightning" and "Black Rose". I'm still on the hunt for Thin Lizzy's Jailbreak Record.

My Top 10 Pick for Thin Lizzy songs

10. Sarah- Black Rose
9. Dancing in the Moonlight- Bad Reputation
8. Cold Sweat-Thunder and Lightning
 7. Thunder and Lightning- Thunder and Lightning
6.Jailbreak- Jailbreak
5. Emerald- Jailbreak
4. Don't Believe a word- Johnny The Fox
3.Bad Reputation- Bad Reputation
2. Still in love with you- Nightlife
1. The Rocker- Vagabonds of the Western World

There's one song that i like,  Gary Moore's Parisienne Walkways. It's is to me a Thin Lizzy gem.

Rest in Peace Phil Lynott and Gary Moore.

That's a mix of hard rock, ballads and jazz for you.

Let's be Frank.

Hello on my first blog post...

I have got not much to share on this post.
Started a blog site ahead of 2020.
And i will post updates on any of my new comics project.
And maybe a lot more updates on great music from the past to listen to in the future.

I bought this online, a Frank Zappa Record from 1994, a compilation album of some great commercial hits from Frank Zappa. My fave track on this one would be "I am the Slime". Metaphoric song about how one day the television is going to ruin and brainwash our mind, these days people are stuck on their mobile like slime oozing through their eyes and to their mind.

                    The lyrics goes like this

"You will obey me while I lead you
And eat the garbage that I feed you
Until the day that we don't need you
Don't go for help . . . no one will heed you
Your mind is totally controlled
It has been stuffed into my mold
And you will do as you are told
Until the rights to you are sold"

And there's a lot of more gems in this record.
If you have never listen to Zappa, i recommend you start with this album..... ( Theres's this thing called Spotify for the Millenials, lucky you...)

*My Next post will be about Thin Lizzy and the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame.

Megadeth In London

Met them in London, for the Meet and Greet, One of the Big 4 of Thrash Metal, Megadeth, held in Wembley SSE. The band was awesome, open...
